Sorlein's Mill in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Letter was found in our relative's items- an ancestor lived 2 miles from this mill in 1872.
Per the book A History of Yellow Medicine County Minnesota 1872-1972 by Carl and Amy Narvestad: "Farmers with teams were hired at $2 per day to cut logs and haul stones for the dam. Some farmers as far away as 12 to 15 miles worked there in 1872 and 1873..."
