Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clarkfield, MN

This lovely postcard we purchased from ebay. It's of the Norwegian  Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clarkfield, MN.

The postcard is stamped 1908 and was sent to a Nettie Klovstad from her cousin Caroline.

On the front, you can see it says for C. G. Sorenson. We're not sure what's before that writing as the corner is damaged.

unknown soldier

Unknown soldier, no markings. likely from Minnesota, Clarkfield area

Unknown couple, Granite Falls, Minnesota

Unknown Couple, Ringsven Studios, Granite Falls, MN

Mabel Risdahl Valen, Minnesota

This one is labeled Mabel Risdahl Valen. Not sure if it's her maiden and married name or what. The photo was encased in a Johnson Studio frame from Montevideo, Minnesota.

Betty Spande, Minnesota

This photo was labeled Betty Spande. We think she was a friend of the family in Clarkfield, MN. No clue who the person is with her.

Vereide Family, Minnesota

This is the Vereide Family. See other post about Soren here: Soren

The photo is labeled:
Vereide Family
Louis and Mrs. Louis, Soren (in middle), Erick, Mrs. Soren Vereide and baby Ruth

Kezar relatives, Unknown

These are likely Kezar relatives but not 100% sure. They were in a book of mainly Kezar's with occasional Lundquist's from our grandmother. George and Elvina Kezar are our grandma's grandparents. Her mother is their child, Edna Lundquist (Kezar). If you recognize anyone, please let us know. Other Kezar possibilities are:

George and Elvina's other children-
Beatrice Kezar
Vivia Kezar
Elwin Kezar
Dorothy Kezar
Dale Kezar
George B. Kezar
Robert "Chuck" Kezar
Geraldine Kezar

Some places the Kezar's lived are: South Dakota, Iowa, California (mainly)
Some places the kids moved to: Texas, Florida, Minnesota

1)  Labeled 1-1941

2) Thinking this is the generation before- it's a photonote (says it on the back)- we believe this is one of the twins- Elvina or Lovina, unfortunately we have no other baby photos of them to compare with.

 3) Unknown, no marks/dates but next to photos labeled 1941

4) We thought this might be Geraldine Kezar based on other photos we have, however, we cannot find anything stating she had children. And based on the label of 1-1941, she would have had to have the child at age 17. She didn't marry until 1945 in Florida to a Andre Enard. So the question remains, who are these two?

 5) These were also with the Kezar photos, but we do not recognize them as the Kezar brothers, so maybe they were friends or the husbands?

6) This one was next to the photo above. We don't recognize her as one of the Kezar girls, so thinking a friend of theirs.

Relatives from Germany...

These are letters from our relatives in Germany. We do not know much about them or if they are still alive. We know they are related to William Henry "Bill" Decker (1877-1934)  Waltham, Minnesota. He was born in Bochum, Germany. They are his nieces from what the letters say. He had one brother and two sisters that remained in Germany. We are unsure of their names. There is a good possibility Manfred Spaeth or Helene's children are still alive.
The names on the letters are:
Paul and Helene Storch
Elfriede and Hans
Margarete and Manfred Spaeth

Places listed on letters: Bochum, Friedrichsburg 21 or 24, Westfalen, Waschow, Lebenstedt, Stahlstrasse 88, Braunschweig, Wolfenbuttel, Westring, Br. Zone

Unknown people from Clarkfield, MN. Larson, Haugen, or Gunderson.

These photos are likely all from the Clarkfield, MN area. They were in Minnie Larson's photo book. She passed away in 1940. We feel confident these are Larson's, Haugen's, or Gunderson's from the Clarkfield area. Do you recognize anyone? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

The two photos above are likely Larson's. They were next to other Larson's that we could identify.

The photo above-Ben Gunderson on right, Pretty positive Gurina Gunderson is on the left, others unknown

The photo above we believe are Haugen's. We have other photos with some of these people in it. We can tell Gunderson's and Larson's pretty well, hence why we feel these are Haugen's.  If you are from the Haugen line, we'd love to connect with you as we have many other photos.

We think this photo are Haugen's as well.

Likely Larson's.

Unknown lady from South Minneapolis, 1950s, 1960s

Do you recognize this lady? We think she is a friend/coworker of Tina Gunderson. Why? We have similar photos of Tina taken at one of the many restaurants she worked at/managed. Some possible places this was taken:
Pizza Papa's, Hiawatha Room, Mr. Tina's Pizza, Alpine Inn, or ADM

We think the photos were taken in the 1950s-1960s.

All these places were located in South Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Agnete Gunderson's parents from Norway- Lars and Anne Olsson

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2017:
We believe these may actually be Simon and Agneta Gunderson and not Agneta's parents. We received a photo of Simon when he was younger (from someone- we will ask if we can post it on here) and when comparing, they look very similar. We have no photos of Agneta so we cannot compare. You will have to decide.

Initial post:
These aren't unknown people but we wanted to add them for those researching their family history. These are Agnete Eide Gunderson's parents. Their names are Lars and Anne Eide Olsson from Norway. We do not know anything else about them at this time. We hope this will help others in their search- it's always nice to place a face with a name. These were in a locket, hence the look.

Spring Creek Lutheran Church confirmation class, Yellow Medicine County, MN

This is a confirmation class from Spring Creek Lutheran Church in Yellow Medicine County. We're thinking it's from the mid-1930s based on our relatives age. The one person we know for sure is Arden Gunderson, who is third from left in the top row. We feel confident the man sitting in the front row and in the photo below is Reverend Jorgen Emil Hanson Akre. We know Arden attended Spring Creek Lutheran Church and found Rev. Akre's obituary online stating he worked there from April 1929 to June 1951. His obituary link is below. The remainder of the people are unknown.
