Larson friends or relatives from Clarkfield or Granite Falls area

These ladies are unknown. The photo is from Emma and Henry Jacobson's party in January 1960. We think it was their anniversary party. The lady in the blue dress we thought might be Belma's sister or good friend as we have one other photo where she is in when they were younger. They look similar to each other. This photo was probably taken in Clarkfield or Granite Falls area (in Minnesota).

The photo above we believe is Larson's. Descendant's of Hans Peter Larson and Synneva or Helga (first and second wife). Could be children of Emma, Alfred, or Raymond Larson. Emma or Alfred would make more sense, but the question is who are they? We think this photo was taken in the 1980s. We of course could be wrong on who they are. We're making a guess based on where the photos were located (box of Larson items).

unknown soldiers, likely from Clarkfield or Minneapolis area, Minnesota

A couple of unknown soldiers. Could be from Clarkfield or surrounding areas, or possibly Minneapolis. Likely from Minnesota as they were in photos from the Gunderson side.

Iver Haugen's birthdays, 1957, 1958, 1960, Clarkfield, Minnesota (with other people from the area)

These photos are from Iver R. Haugen's birthdays. We decide to post these as they have others who lived in or near the Clarkfield area in MN. Also hoping to connect with some of the Haugen relatives. We have lots of photos of the Haugen's but have not been able to place many of the faces with names. If you are related to the Haugen's, we'd love to hear from you.

Unknown people who attended Henry Jacobson's 75th birthday party, 1958, Clarkfield, MN

This is a photo from Henry Jacobson's 75th birthday on 10-6-1958. The reason we are posting this is because there are so many people from the Clarkfield, MN area. Unfortunately the photo is a bit blurry- there's no fixing it as far as we know. We recognize quite a few people from the church photos in this photo but are unsure of their names.

Who we know for sure:
Henry and Emma Jacobson are third row up from the bottom above the dog. Mabel Danielson is third row up, third in from right.

To see the church photos, go here: Spring Creek Lutheran Church, Clarkfield, MN

Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clarkfield, MN

This lovely postcard we purchased from ebay. It's of the Norwegian  Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clarkfield, MN.

The postcard is stamped 1908 and was sent to a Nettie Klovstad from her cousin Caroline.

On the front, you can see it says for C. G. Sorenson. We're not sure what's before that writing as the corner is damaged.

Unknown people from Clarkfield, MN. Larson, Haugen, or Gunderson.

These photos are likely all from the Clarkfield, MN area. They were in Minnie Larson's photo book. She passed away in 1940. We feel confident these are Larson's, Haugen's, or Gunderson's from the Clarkfield area. Do you recognize anyone? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

The two photos above are likely Larson's. They were next to other Larson's that we could identify.

The photo above-Ben Gunderson on right, Pretty positive Gurina Gunderson is on the left, others unknown

The photo above we believe are Haugen's. We have other photos with some of these people in it. We can tell Gunderson's and Larson's pretty well, hence why we feel these are Haugen's.  If you are from the Haugen line, we'd love to connect with you as we have many other photos.

We think this photo are Haugen's as well.

Likely Larson's.

Agnete Gunderson's parents from Norway- Lars and Anne Olsson

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2017:
We believe these may actually be Simon and Agneta Gunderson and not Agneta's parents. We received a photo of Simon when he was younger (from someone- we will ask if we can post it on here) and when comparing, they look very similar. We have no photos of Agneta so we cannot compare. You will have to decide.

Initial post:
These aren't unknown people but we wanted to add them for those researching their family history. These are Agnete Eide Gunderson's parents. Their names are Lars and Anne Eide Olsson from Norway. We do not know anything else about them at this time. We hope this will help others in their search- it's always nice to place a face with a name. These were in a locket, hence the look.

Clarkfield School, January 1926, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota

The only thing we know about this photo is: it's the Clarkfield School in January 1926. The calendar in the back shows the date. It looks like they were pen-pals with a class in China per the blackboard. Wish we could say more!

Clarkfield Class Picture, March 29, 1912. Clarkfield, MN. Yellow Medicine County.

This is one of our favorites! The photo we had with name of teacher and date on it. We also have a paper (The Clarkfield Advocate), where it talks about this picture. Henry Appleseth is the person who wrote into the paper stating who everyone is (with married names as well). We've added commentary to help further identify. Enjoy!

Betty Lou, Minneapolis or Clarkfield, Minnesota

This lovely lady is Betty Lou. Unfortunately we do not know anything else about her. She is likely from Clarkfield or Minneapolis and was friends with the Gunderson's or Larson's. The photo frame has The Miller Studios in Minneapolis.

Young gentleman Clarkfield or Minneapolis, Minnesota

Unknown young gentleman likely from Clarkfield or possibly Minneapolis. Would have been a relative or neighbor to the Gunderson's or Larson's most likely. No marking on photo or frame.

Richard Storlie, Clarkfield or Minneapolis, Minnesota

Per a family member's memory this cute child pictured above is a Storlie- son of Charlie Storlie most likely. If so, he would be from Clarkfield or Minneapolis and the family would have been a friend of the Gunderson's or Larson's. The photo frame has "With Love, Richard" (looks like a woman's handwriting) and Gopher Studio 3010 Hennepin Ave. Minneapolis on it.

Above is a photo we found after the above post. We are fairly certain these photos are both Richard. This photo frame has Tintsmaster's Minneapolis on it and it is also etched into the photo on the left lower portion. We hope these photos find their way to Richard and his family.

Unknown Navy Man from Clarkfield, MN

Unknown Navy man. Per a family members memory, this gentleman was a friend of the Gunderson's from Clarkfield, MN. Unfortunately, he couldn't recall his name.

Brothers or Twins from Clarkfield, MN. Merv and ? Year 1948

Brothers? Twins? These boys are probably from Clarkfield, MN and were friends of the Gunderson family. One is named Merv with the year of 1948 and the other unknown. Both photo frames are labeled Lundgren Studio-Minneapolis.

Amanda Selness and three unknown ladies, Clarkfield, MN

These four ladies are from Clarkfield, MN. This was sent to our great-great grandmother from her friend Amanda Selness (whose family lived in Clarkfield at one point per records we've seen). Which one is Amanda, we are not sure. Nor are we sure whom the other three ladies are, but hopefully someone else out there does. We estimate this photo to be from around 1920 (feel free to tell us if we are wrong).
